MIKE McSHANE is a third year Masters of Fine Arts candidate in Lighting Design at the University of Florida. His designs include: Chicago, Romeo and Juliet, dark play: or stories for boys, The Women, The Elephant Man, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? He recently was an Apprentice in Audio/Visual at the Santa Fe Opera. He has a Bachelors of Arts in Film Studies with a minor in Technical Theatre. Mr. McShane is also an acclaimed filmmaker, actor, and director. His films The Votive Pit, It's All Good! and You are Not Frank Sinatra have screened in film festivals around the globe. His films Bottom Line and Howl This! will be released in Spring 2012 Recently, he played Bellomy and Mortimer in Expressions Studio Theatre's The Fantasticks. Some of his favorite roles include, Christopher Wren in The Mousetrap, Bobby in American Buffalo, Mickey Gorski in Greetings!, and Ray Dooley in The Beauty Queen of Leenane. This fall he plans to direct The Merchant of Venice starring Shamrock McShane as Antonio and Scot Davis as Shylock. |
